Another FO after so many months of nothing! I put all other knitting aside and finished Erland's wrap.
This is the Upstairs shawl. I used some Alpaca lace yarn from Valley Yarns. I really like how it looks hanging under the mantle-maybe I should knit a lace panel to hang there in the summer. Here's a close up.
MMMMM-love this but it was so boring to knit I think this will be the only one I ever make. It's just the right size for Erland because it makes a nice wrap but also makes a nice warm scarf to wrap around your neck in the cold. Can't wait to see it on her!
I heard from Banjo's othter grandmother that she had seen a cute argyle Christmas vest in a store. Great idea! I started it while the shawl was blocking.
I'm using Berroco Alpaca Fine and it feels wonderful. I'm using a dark green, dark red, and cream so it doesn't scream Christmas and can be worn all winter. I love knitting argyle and can't wait to finish this!
You are one super Grandma !The wrap turned out beautiful and I'm sure Erland will look lovely with it on.
