My knitting and blogging have been very s-l-o-w lately. It all started in August when I spent a wonderful week in the mountains with Donna sewing away. We sewed for hours every day and made dresses, market bags, skirts, and pajamas. So much fun-until I came home and started feeling a little sick. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with an infection, got my medicine and was ready to start working in my classroom for the beginning of school. The only problem was, I quickly got worse instead of better! After two trips to the ER I ended up in the hospital for the first time in my life except for having babies! I found out that I had a severe allergic reaction to the medication I was taking. Thank goodness I have two wonderful doctors who have been helping me and I'm feeling great. I should be 100% by Thanksgiving. During all of this my knitting has been very slow or not at all until this weekend when I finally had an FO to share!
Hopefully the weather will be getting cooler sometime soon and Banjo will need some warm clothes. I remembered that I got a pattern and yarn to make him a vest at MS&W so I knitted it up.
This pattern is called Pip and it was so much fun to knit. I have enough yarn left over for a warm hat.
I'm also knitting a prayer shawl for Erland who has had a rough few months and has amazed me with her strength, humor, and happiness.
This is the Upstairs Shawl with yarn from Stitches East several years ago. Here's a close up...
So pretty-I'm going to finish this before I pick up any other knitting-maybe.....
