The longer I don't blog the harder it is to blog so I'm just going to dive in and write a post! Where have I been-I keep wondering why I've been gone so long? Well, I last posted on September 25, so, during that whole time I have been slowly knitting the same sweater.
This is my Savannah sweater and it's been on the needles a L-O-N-G time. I'm running out of steam with the knitting 12 sweaters in 2009-this is number 8 and I have one more sweater to knit before I start Christmas stockings.
During this slow knitting we visited my home town for it's 250th anniversary! Rob, Jess and Banjo went, too, and posed in front of the huge pig that used to sit in front of our Happy Days style drive-in.
While in Culpeper I also took one of my all time pictures of Banjo.
I would love to know what he's thinking!
I had my first my first ever flat tire while I was driving. I kept wondering what I had in the trunk that was making all that noise...
Luckily Bob was just down the road and was able to come and change the tire. Wow! Nothing is as attractive as a man changing your tire with such ease! Love you, Bob! While we were waiting for Bob to come save us my SIL and I had fun counting the number of cars who just flew by us and looked the other way-I don't blame them-it was just funny.
Did you all know that I have a terrible fear of alligators? That made it pretty funny to find myself spending a nice, long weekend in Kiawah in a condo that overlooked this charming lady.
It was easy to forget about her while I was spending time here...
What beautiful beaches in South Carolina!
The most fun thing I've done since I last blogged happened last week when Rob, Jess, and Banjo came over for dinner. Rob and Jess were tired and Banjo needed a bath before bedtime. I offered to bathe him in the kitchen sink! Really-I used to think that my baby bathing days were over but I hope I have many more ahead of me!
"Really, Granny Jane, the kitchen sink?"
"Maybe I should do it myself...."
"Hurry up! I don't like to be cold!"
"OK-we can go home now"
"If I can catch a cat nap in the car I'll be good to go for a few more hours-who needs a bedtime?"

Oh Banjo is just adorable isnt he. I used to bath Isabelle in the laundry sink in the hotter months as it is plastic, not stainless steel and she could look outside whilst I was bathing her. I used top pop her straight on the towel on the washing machine. She really liked it too and it was much easier than trying the bathtub. It looks as though you have been having some fun times too, dont like the croc either. They have them everywhere up the top part of Australia.

Every time I look at Banjo my heart just lurches. That has to be one of the cutest babies in the world. Just thinking about him being in charge when I am a very old lady makes me happy. You guys are the greatest.

Banjo's pics remind me of how slippery little bathing babies get! The good old kitchen sink is probably the best place for baby/little kid baths. I remember my mom giving my brother sink baths, and did it with my own babies.
Guess you didn't do any 'bathing' with that creepy alligator around!
